Core vault
Luban Lock is not a “hidden album” inside the system Photos library. Imported media is copied into the app’s encrypted container and stored with AES-256 encryption. Thumbnails, albums, tags, and metadata live in a local database on your phone.
- Photos, videos, and audio — import from Photos, capture with camera, or record voice memos
- Albums & organization — group items, browse by date, filter by type
- Full-screen viewer — pinch to zoom, swipe between items, view EXIF details when available
- Share & export — decrypt and export selected items back to Photos or share via the system sheet
- Optional delete originals — after import, remove copies from the system library with your explicit confirmation (Apple-controlled dialog)
Security & access
- Vault password — required on every fresh launch; keys derived with PBKDF2 and stored in the iOS Keychain
- Face ID / Touch ID — optional quick unlock; biometric data processed only by iOS
- Emergency lock — instantly lock the vault when you flip the phone face-down or shake (configurable)
- Intrusion alert — log failed unlock attempts; optionally capture a front-camera photo after repeated wrong passwords
- Password recovery — set a security question to reset your password if forgotten (answer hashed locally; no server recovery)
- Decoy password Pro — a second password opens an entirely separate encrypted vault with its own albums and files
Backups & data safety
- Encrypted local backup — export a password-protected backup file to Files, iCloud Drive, or external storage
- Restore — import a backup on the same or a new device (requires backup password)
- No cloud by us — we never host your vault; you control where backup files are stored
Productivity & cleanup
- Duplicate scanner Pro — find visually similar or duplicate photos inside your vault and review before deleting
- Media filters Pro — filter gallery by photos, videos, favorites, and more
- Photo editing — basic adjustments (crop, rotate, filters) on images inside the vault
