How do I import photos from my iPhone?
Tap the import button in the gallery, select items from your Photos library, and confirm. Files are encrypted as they are copied into the vault. You may optionally delete originals afterward.
Is Luban Lock the same as a Hidden album in Photos?
No. Hidden albums still live inside the system Photos library. Luban Lock stores encrypted copies in app-private storage that Photos cannot access.
Do I need an account?
No account is required. Set a vault password on first launch and you are ready to go.
Passwords & security
I forgot my password. Can you reset it?
We cannot reset your password — your encryption keys never leave your device. If you set up Password Recovery in Settings with a security question, use “Forgot Password” on the unlock screen after several failed attempts.
How does password recovery work?
You choose a security question and answer. The answer is hashed and stored locally. A successful recovery re-wraps your vault key — we never see your answer in plain text and cannot recover it for you remotely.
What is the decoy password?
Luban Lock Pro lets you set a second password that opens a separate encrypted vault. If someone forces you to unlock the app, you can enter the decoy password to show innocuous content while your real vault stays hidden behind your primary password.
What does Intrusion Alert do?
After a configurable number of wrong passwords, the app can log the attempt and optionally take a front-camera photo. Records are stored locally on your device. You can review and delete them in Settings.
What is Emergency Lock?
Flip your phone face-down or shake it (if enabled) to immediately return to the lock screen — useful if someone is about to see your vault.
Backups & data
How do I back up my vault?
Go to Settings → Backup and create an encrypted backup file. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or external storage. Keep your backup password safe — without it, the backup cannot be restored.
Does Luban Lock sync to the cloud?
No. We do not operate a cloud sync service. Any backup file you create is under your control — if you save it to iCloud Drive, that is between you and Apple.
What happens if I delete the app?
App-private vault data is removed when you uninstall, subject to iOS behavior. Encrypted backup files you saved elsewhere remain until you delete them manually.
Luban Lock Pro & billing
How do I subscribe or buy Lifetime?
Open the paywall from Settings or when accessing a Pro feature. Purchases are processed by Apple through your Apple ID.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone, select Luban Lock, and cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
How do I restore purchases?
In the app, open Settings → Subscription and tap Restore Purchase while signed in with the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
Can I get a refund?
Refund requests are handled by Apple according to App Store policy. We do not process refunds directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com.
Privacy
What data do you collect?
We do not collect your photos, passwords, or vault contents. Limited network use occurs for subscription validation via RevenueCat. See our full Privacy Policy.
Is there an Android version?
Android is in development. This website and legal documents apply to both platforms where features are available.
